At Montevino, we’ve reimagined the space once home to beloved Slice of Italy, carrying forward the spirit of authentic Italian dining while giving it a fresh, refined identity. Our mission is simple: to craft meals and moments that bring people together. Our vision is to be Snowmass Village’s gathering place for both locals and visitors to discover something new—whether that’s a wine pairing, a handmade pasta, or a seasonal cocktail. We promise handcrafted, soulful food with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, from pastas rolled daily in-house to meats and produce sourced locally whenever possible. Montevino isn’t backed by a corporate group—it’s owned and operated by friends who live here, ski here, and believe that exceptional dining should feel approachable, elegant, and deeply connected to its community.

Primo

In true Italian tradition, the first course — Primo — is where the table comes alive. These dishes are designed to spark conversation, awaken the appetite, and set the tone for the meal ahead. From delicate seafood and vibrant seasonal salads to rich, rustic flavors prepared with care, our primi celebrate both freshness and flavor. Each plate is crafted for sharing, savoring, and pairing perfectly with a glass of wine, just as you’d find in the trattorias of Italy.
